New Year, New Hair....... Style!

No, Don't worry parents out there, I don't mean your child needs to dye their hair purple or cut there hair into a bob I meant ways you can tie up your hair. Ss you can see in the photo I have long hair so here is some ways to change your hairstyle by tying it up differently.

* Like in the picture you could plait your hair. There is many differents ways of plaiting so search on www.google.com  to find some good plaiting tips.

* A simple ponytail at the back, a high ponytail or even a side ponytail.

* Pig-tails! Pig-tails is a classic especially with a awesome hairtie!

That is just to name a few so you can search online or even ask a local hairdresser or friend for hairstyling tips!

Gotta Go and Style my hair now!!

Back to School Stationery Shopping!

Hi Bloggers,
Yep, School is coming back and all the students are always excited to chat there best friends, get to know the teacher a bit more, look around at all the class rooms, ooh and aah at the new people and new things happening around the school! But the worst thing for parents is covering their childrens books. They usually have plain covers and designs or their favourite popstars with the clear covering over top. As it's a new year, here are a few ideas about what to put on your school books this year.

1. Flick through your magazines and grab photos of your favourite stars, cute animals and even funny sayings!

2. Find photos of when you are younger or just photos of yourself, glue them on the book and then put an clear cover over top.

3. Search on the internet! Some other children might have a cool idea that you could use.

4. Find a cover that has a cool and funky design or use some wrapping paper you might have found around the house.

5. Call up your friends and ask for there advice!

Thats all from me and enjoy 2011!

Christmas, Presents and 2011!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you had a great Christmas and got some good presents! Gosh, 2011 is on the way and everyone is putting down there Christmas decorations and some are adding some New Years decorations for New Years Eve! Some people are thinking of New Years Resolutions!
What is a New Years Resolutions?
A New Year's resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year's Day. Some examples include resolutions to donate to the poor more often, to become more assertive, or to become more environmentally responsible.
Some younger kids give up things like: Candy, Soda, Television, Play Station, Computer, Nintendo, X- Box and other things!
Other people give things like: Money and toys to the children that don't have any!!

If you have a new years resolution Good Luck!
And have a wonderful New Year!! xxoo

Christmas ... Christmas is here!

Here is a Christmas Poem from our friends at http://www.apples4theteacher.com/ wishing you a wonderful Christmas. And from everyone at Sophieville have a fabulous Christmas holidays and stay tuned for more blogger posts in 2011.

The fairies and elves on last Christmas-tide
Decided to open their hearts very wide,
And spend extra time, throughout the whole year,
In helping their grandfather—Santa Claus dear.

"Our fingers are nimble. We'll quickly make toys
Enough to supply all the girls and the boys,
And Santa may watch us to see if it's right,
So all will be ready before Christmas night."

Then bravely they all went to work with a will,
And soon all was quiet in workshop and mill;
For old Santa said, "Enough, and well done,
We've toys enough now to make all kinds of fun."

We thank you, old Santa, and your helpers, too,
For all of the many kind things that you do;
And should you need more help in making your toys,
Just call on your small friends, the girls and the boys

Pen Pals

Everybody loves receiving letters in the mail addressed to them? So why don't try looking for a Pen Pal living in a different country so you can chat about your country, your school and anything. A good site for looking for a penpal is http://www.penpalsnow.com/
A great tip to finding a Pen Pal is looking for a Pen Pal that share similar interests with you or maybe the same age. If you can't find a Pen Pal try finding a family member living in a different country or find a friend who has a friend living over seas or if your friend has moved away send them a letter or an email. Good Luck finding the great Pen Pal
Have a very Merry Christmas and keep safe over the Christmas Holidays.
